Could it be possible to offer a one-time platinum purchase?

I don't mind getting a platinum membership but I prefer paying on a monthly basis instead of having necessarily to subscribe to a service.

Subscribers could get a discount, and maybe make a regular purchase for a tad more (say $1.99).

Yes. I don't like subscriptions, and I feel people should be able to get Premium and support WebWide for 1 month only if they chose to.

There are already several options. The best case would be a simple: subscribe or pay once option!?
So you could also buy a whole year with a one-time payment.
