Same here. Occasionally I use TunnelBear free plan but only for testing i18n/Geolocation stuff.

I assign a hardcoded IP in Laravel middleware for this stuff. 😅

NordVPN is a solid vpn, they always rank highly on security audits and reviews, and they're still one of the cheapest paid options. As usual, the media blows up this sort of thing, even techcrunch. NordVPN does not keep logs, so what could a malicious actor get, even if they walked out of the building with the server and had all the time in the world?
