Just wondering what people are using for their provisioning of servers currently - not infrastructure creation (eg. Terraform).

At work, we currently have a mixture of servers provisioned with Chef, and some Docker instances deployed to AWS Fargate.

If PHP or similar that requires a server;

CodePipeline / CodeBuild (depending on requirements)

I mainly use EBS for "servers".

When serverless app, I make use of CodePipeline / CodeBuild too but I use my own "Makefile" to make my life easier for testing as I usually build them as infrastructure as code and usually max few short commands hence no other tools required as I can combine Make commands together easily.

Terraform to build them
Ansible to install stuff and deploy docker containers.
All driven by any one of a number of CICD platforms.
