Can you possibly go a little bit into detail about the most common development and testing strategies you are working with?

I'm mostly working within the embedded industry. Strategies are usually either for a specific team how their process could change or improve, lately it have been more for the entire company, so how they should take a project from start to end without jump over testing 😉. Where I try to introduce more test automation and go from strictly requirement based development towards TDD.
