I kind of like how Indie Hackers styles their groups with these colourful icons. How would you feel about the forum homepage list on Webwide featuring something similar where there is currently the simple grey (read)/green (unread) icons?

On one hand I think it would add some interest to the homepage. On the other hand, I don't want it to look too busy. I thought that for forums where it is all read the icon could be greyed out so it is not as prominent.

Let me know what you think! I have a FlatIcon subscription so would be easy to source some nice looking ones that match. I am swaying towards yes!

I think it will look good when you make all of them with one pastel color, on Indie Hackers there is too much and make it clutter
