A birthday calendar and possibly even a global notification "It's XYZs birthday" would be cool. It shouldn't depend on the year, possibly the notification could be adjusted if the year is public "It's XYZs 27th birthday".

It'd be good if it was in the side panel on the homepage just listing the birthdays, but also maybe with a 🎂 next to their name too.

The sidebar could list the next 2-3 days or even a week limited to 10-20 entries.
The cake could be there for the exact day.

Seems like there is already a feature like this: Today's birthdays
Would be great if it could get moved into sidebar. And in best case extended to today + some days. :)
